🛏️ How To Sleep Less, Have More Energy & Live Longer

Today I’m going to reveal how you can sleep less, have more energy and live longer.

I’ll also give you 10 specific ways you can get a more restful sleep, in less time…

Most of my life, I’ve been a “bad” sleeper. I’m super sensitive to sound and light.

My brain is always “on” …

And I’ve been like this my entire life.

Luckily, I don’t need much sleep.

In fact, most of life I’ve only needed about 6 hours asleep. And if I really optimized my nutrition, exercise, supplements and hormones, I needed even LESS sleep.

And the thing is, I wake up feeling pretty good and energized. I’ve never needed an alarm.

And if I did get little tired in the middle of the day, I’d take a quick 15-30 min nap and that’s all I needed to be back to 100% energy.

However, something in the back of my mind would keep saying “this isn’t healthy, you *should* be sleeping at least 7-8 hour a day, or more!”

So, I was always obsessed about sleeping more because I thought it was “good” for me, even though I really never needed it.

I thought my lack of sleep was probably aging me more.

However, the opposite is true.

Research shows that people who sleep “more”, actually die sooner than those who sleep less!

Recently there was an analysis of 16 separate sleep studies covering more than 1.1 million people. What was discovered is that 30% of people who slept more than 8 hours a night, died earlier, than those who slept 6 hours.1

And there have been other similar studies stating that sleeping 8 hours or more is worse for your health because of a variety of reasons — such as an increase in inflammation, lack of movement, change in hormones, etc.

Okay, great… so sleeping less is good.

But what do you do when you NEED more sleep?

When you can’t seem to function on only 6 hours?

When you have such a hard time getting out of bed in the morning?

Well, Arnold Schwarzenegger jokes about this and says, “sleep faster”.

However, the real question is why do some people need more sleep than others?

And how can you sleep less and have even more energy?

Well, the real reason is that healthy people need less sleep.

When your body is healthy, it’s “fixing” everything in less time, you’re more efficient and you have better QUALITY of sleep.

Unless you’re growing and you’re below the age of 20, you don’t need as much sleep.

When you’re not healthy, your body is slow to recover because your body is either lacking in nutrients or your hormones aren’t optimized.

OR

You’re doing the wrong things — like eating the wrong foods, not exercising, going to bed late and throwing off your circadian rhythm and so forth.

So what you want to do is optimize your health, so you can repair and recover quicker at night and thus, get BETTER QUALITY of sleep.

Let me give you the 10 tips that have made the biggest improvements in my sleep and energy levels.

So, let’s first start with your sleeping habits as you get ready for bed.

Stop using all electronic devices, or least DIM the light on everything. I wear “blue blocker” glasses about 30-60 minutes before bed. Blue light keeps you awake.

Don’t take sleeping pills or drugs. You may sleep longer, but the quality is less. Not to mention they cause long-term memory loss and dementia.

Try to get to bed by 10pm and especially before midnight. This is when your hormones are optimized for sleep.

Make sure your room is dark and preferably around 68 degrees. Cooler helps you sleep better. I wear eyeshades and ear plugs.

Before going to bed, journal or write down what you’ve learned today and what you’re grateful for. If you don’t want to write it, at least think about it and FEEL it.

Exercise daily, preferably earlier in the day. Most of us don’t move enough or at all.

Energy drinks have become increasingly popular in recent years. There are many brands on the market such as the 5-Hour Energy Drink, Rockstar Energy Drink, Burn Energy Drink, Full Throttle Energy Drink, Amp Energy Drink, Monster Energy Drink and others. Each contain caffeine and some have added stimulants such as guarana, an herbal form of more caffeine, as well as ginseng.

Most of these drinks, in moderation, are probably relatively harmless for healthy people. However, when consumed to excess or by those with certain medical conditions, they can be very dangerous. Younger people, as young as 6 or 8 years old, are also consuming these drinks. In this age group the effects of caffeine are dramatically increased. Energy drinks, such as the 5-Hour Energy Drink, Rockstar Energy Drink, Burn Energy Drink, Full Throttle Energy Drink, Amp Energy Drink, Monster Energy Drink and others, are consumed primarily for the buzz or energy high that the caffeine and other stimulants can provide. Unfortunately, most of these drinks also produce a let down or crash, leaving the user to consume another drink to boost energy again. Repeated use or abuse of these highly charged caffeine drinks could lead to increased side effects. The harmful effects of caffeine, guarana, ginseng and other herbal extracts accelerate at potentially alarming rates when multiple doses of these drinks are consumed. People have been using caffeine in various forms, including Energy Drinks for a long time. What users dont often understand is that the boost of energy obtained from these drinks is temporary and that the crash can last a lot longer than the high. This was due to the fact that several athletes have died while exercising or training and using these energy drinks for sustained performance enhancement.
